*New Classes* - Tiny Tots Ballet & Adult Ballet

Come and explore a world of dance. Mums, Dads, Grandparents share the love of dance and enjoy a special time together.

Classes ideal for children aged 2-4 years. Classes include fun, music and basic techniques all with an expert teacher.

Tuesdays 12pm

 

Calling all adults! We have a brand new adult ballet class starting Term 2, 2024. Ex dancers, new dancers, you are all welcome. Suits all levels from Beginner up.

Wednesday evenings 7:30-8:30pm

Classical Ballet

The curriculum is based on the Southern Federation of Dance, and the Royal Academy of Dance, both Graded and Vocational, and offers students a sound training and preparation for examinations and assessments from Level 1 to Advanced level. Children from age 4 - 5 enjoy an informal but structured introduction to dance in our Kinder groups.

 

Jazz and Tap

​We also offer Tap and Jazz classes using the Southern Federation of Dance syllabi. These are very popular and once again students may enter examinations in these styles.

 

Contemporary

Contemporary dance is offered to students from Level 6 upwards.

It is a style of expressive dance that combines elements of several dance genres including modern, jazz, lyrical and classical ballet. Contemporary dancers strive to connect the mind and the body through fluid dance movements.

Contemporary dance stresses versatility and improvisation, unlike the strict, structured nature of ballet. Contemporary dancers focus on floorwork, using gravity to pull them down to the floor. This dance genre is often done in bare feet. Contemporary dance can be performed to many different styles of music.

 

Acrobatics

Ringwood Ballet offers Acrobatics classes for students in Level 2 upwards

Commercial Jazz

Commercial classes are offered to senior students.

Boys Dance Class

A general dance class for boys age 6-11yrs. Styles included are Jazz, Hip Hop, Acrobatics and there may be an opportunity to learn some tap too.
