Scenery Matters
Third term is under way and it's time to start getting the scenery side of Cinderella into gear. Two new backdrops have already been made and we need to get some paint on them fairly soon.
As mentioned in the previous newsletter, a scenery meeting had been planned and this will take place on 15 August starting around 8.15pm in studio 1. Everyone who is interested in being involved with not just the backdrops, scenery and props needed for Cinderella, but also those needed for the Junior ballet and the Jazz/Tap part of the concert is welcome to attend. The idea behind this meeting is to make everyone aware of what is needed for the concert, to discuss ideas and let everyone consider how they can best be involved. At this stage it looks as if we'll be able to use the Scout Hall on Sunday and Monday nights as well as some of Saturday as we have to work around the regular users of the Hall.
To help communication, I've set up the email discussion list (backstage@ringwoodballet.org.au) to keep everyone informed and exchange information. I've had a few takers already and if you're interested just send an email to me at sceny@ringwoodballet.org.au and I'll add you to the list. I'll also post information on the doors of the ballet school when appropriate. I look forward to hearing from you!
